A: The current replacement models include the PEB7227ANDD which is available in limited quantities and model PCWK22U1WDD. If you used the 27" - JX7227SLSS or the 30" - JX7230SLSS built-in kit, they are compatible with the new model microwaves. To determine the size kit you used, measure the overall width including the trim on each side. -Vikki@GEAppliances
A: We're happy to assist you. The PCWK22U1BB is the microwave that is the most comparable. To ensure proper installation and operation, you will need the new built-in kit designed for the new model. Your existing kit is not comparable and should not be used. The stainless kits we offer are the 27" - JX7227SLSS and the 30" - JX7230SLSS. To determine which you need, measure the overall width of your existing microwave including the trim on each side. -Vikki@GEAppliances
Q: Will this replace the model PEB7227AN4DD and use the same trim kit?
A: Screw GE - they will always answer that the trim kit is model specific and you have to buy their new kit. Buy a new trim kit off of ebay for just a little over $100. It is ridiculous that the older trim kits do not fit the new ones. That is why our landfills are full.
A: The PCWK22U1WBB is the comparable replacement model in the black finish. The PCWK22U1WDD is the comparable replacement for the previous stainless model like PEB7226SF2SS. The new models use the same built-in kit as the PEB7227AN4DD. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Good purchase!

Very happy with this purchase!
Looks great, very powerful. It took me a long time to search for a microwave that fit my space perfectly and had all the features I wanted. This checks all the boxes! Heats up food in a fraction of the time from my old microwave. Very lager on the inside. It's a countertop microwave, but I got the trim kit so it would look like a built in. Fits like a glove! Looks great too. I plan on getting the GE Profile oven as well. I'm so happy with my purchase. I've been using it for about a month now on a daily basis. No issues and still loving the purchase.
