A:AnswerNot sure if I have the same model, but on my KitchenAid, that hole is where the indicator light shines—blue for washing, red for drying, and white for done. The light stays lit until you open the door at the end of the cycle.
A:AnswerI would just remove the big stuff, potato skins, meat bones, etc. If you mix cleaner and dirtier dishes then the dirtier dishes may not get clean. KA claims they have a dirt sensor and if no dirt is sensed then it goes to the next cycle. This does not necessarily clean even you cleaner dishes. We have had excellent results except for some skillets with burned on food.
A:AnswerYou have to push the functions you want before you close the door, as they are hidden after you close the door. You can press functions like normal, or pro-wash, then the drying options, then the start/resume button, then close the door.
If you open the door to add or remove something, then you'll have to press the resume button, then close the door.
There's a light on the top right of the door that tells you what the dishwasher is doing. Blue is wash, red is drying, white is done.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThe utensil holder is great. It is a solidly built basket with a handle. And you can remove the lid that divides your silverware. One thing to note is that the slots for the silverware vary in size, and while they accommodate my silverware fine, be aware that if you have extra large dinner knives, the slots may be a tad narrow for you.
A:AnswerHi Hilt. This model has a light indicator on the front that will change colors to inform you of what part of the cycle in in. Blue for wash, red for dry and white for finished. We hope this helps.
A:AnswerKitchen aid is famous for the straight handle with red on the end cap. It’s bragging rights. If you want curved you’ll need to buy a different brand
A:AnswerWe just got this dishwasher and had the same problem until we did two things. First we made sure the drain hose is attached to the under side of the counter top to create the highest loop possible and very important the hose does not dip below the drain connection. So in other words after the high loop do not let it fall below the drain line. Second if you have an air gap or air vent make sure it is clean, clean and working. Once we fixed these things it worked perfectly.
A:AnswerIt says LIFT on either end. However, the holes are actually 3 or 4 different sized ovals. My largest dinnerware knives and soup spoons fit. I suggest take those items with you to the store and try it. I took a large sheet pan with me to see if it would fit. Many other brands that wouldn’t fit. All of my normal items fit.
A:AnswerYes, just order a cabinet door or in my case I had drawers so I ordered drawer fronts to match spacing of all drawers. Really makes for a classy fit
