I don't think 27 is being discontinued, I think it's just made to order. I ordered mine at the end of October and just received it in January. If you constantly look between all makers and stores, you will just have to order it as soon as it's available. Right before I received mine, it was available to be received in May. I think it's about 9-16 weeks.

They were not in stock but the bigger units were essentially the same so you can at least see what you will get. Delivery took about 2 weeks so not too long of a wait. Only 2 brands make a 27 inch but Kitchenaid is a superior brand compared to the GE You can also order direct from Kitchenaid.
