QuestionCan the middle burner be used for a griddle to be purchased separately? One person said it is for two side burners but I am concerned about even heat. Please advise. Thank you.

- Answer Hello Gin! You can use the middle burner but you will only be able to use the middle area of the Griddle for cooking. It will not heat the whole griddle.

QuestionDo the burner dials/knobs have a locking feature? If you lean against the knobs they turn on and leak gas. The stoves also turns on when you wipe it down. What a hazard if you have little children.

- Answer No locking feature that I am aware of. When my daughter was a little younger, we just popped off the knobs as they pull out very easily

- Answer I have no idea. I ordered this appliance a month ago for delivery last week. I paid for this appliance a month ago. The delivery date keeps getting pushed back. Now it is pushed back to sometime next week due to inventory constraints. I have essentially owned this appliance for a month. When I ordered it I was told that inventory would not be an issue and that it would be held in wait. So, if I ever receive the appliance, I'll answer your question.

- Answer Hello! The oven cannot be light and used manually. In case of prolonged power failure, the surface burners can be lit manually. Hold a lit match near a burner, and turn knob counterclockwise to LITE. After the burner lights, turn knob to desired setting. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
