Hi For the new model Klips Promedia 2.1 Bluetooth does not have on/off switch and all the time it´s "on", even when you are not listening to music. What I thought like You is to buy a surge protector with a power switch so that you can turn it off to avoid unplugging it from the power outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just opened my new Klipsch - ProMedia 2.1 Bluetooth Speaker System (3-Piece) - Black Model: PROMEDIA 2.1 BTSKU: 4924200 and found that there is no on-off switch either on the control speaker or on the subwoofer. Very poor design to have to use a power strip to turn on and off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had mine plugged into my APC battery backup but never turned it off because they're designed to stay on in low power mode when not in use. First speaker was dead in 28 days. Second replacement set was dead another 27 days later. Not sure if its because it was plugged into a battery backup or not. Not about to test out with a 3rd set plugged directly into wall just to possibly have it blow again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had one of my sets playing music from a radio 24/7 for about a year and it is working perfectly fine. The other has been on for about 2 years and i still love Its sound. Hopefully this answers your question. .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a shame that they have not considered the power off button, but the surge protector solves this problem, it is worth it as they are the best desktop speakers and the best sound brand. I did it and problem solved.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a power switch on the back of the subwoofer (not on the satellite speaker). It gets warm when it is left on all of the time, so it looks like not in standby mode (there is no mention in the manual that it shuts off automatically). It is strange the only power switch is on the back of the subwoofer. I have it plugged in to a surge protector and use the switch on that to shut off the speaker system. I would guess that leaving it on all of the time should not harm it and may be better for the amp (though will use electricity) as damage can occur when amps are switched on as there is an instant high draw.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
