Upright only. While there really isn’t a rule on distance to many, I spaced them on either corner of the room with a 17 foot gap in between. They are angled inward and bounce of the walls and ceiling perfectly to fill the room. I keep the sub in the center although it can be behind or anywhere. But they need to be upright only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will function on their sides but I personally wouldn't use them that way nor would I advise anyone to. They are designed to be upright. If you do choose to lay them on their sides I would find out if that voids the warrantee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can orient them however you want but the frequency that tweeters operate at make them more 'directional' than bass, so they are traditionally oriented as close to 'ear level' as practical. This is why the vast majority of speaker designs have the tweeters at the top. Long story short, you can orient them however you need to, but they were designed from an acoustical perspective to be placed as pictured.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't put them on there side. Not made for that.
