Never use any speaker as a table top. Sound happens through vibrations. Without vibrations we would not hear anything. In fact u might want to but extra feet to absorb the vibration for exact sounding punches. But the great thing about sound especially bass is that what ever you feel us the best sound is where you should place all speakers, tune, and enjoy. However you will get bass with knocking wood sound if you place things on top of a sub
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure....might want some isolating feet for it though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can, but I wouldn't recommend it. I'm not an audio engineer, but I think (AND I STRESS, THINK, NOT KNOW!) that doing that might make the sub more localizable. That's probably not a real word, but here's what I mean: The human ear can't easily tell where low frequencies are coming from (aka 'localizing'). Think sitting at a traffic light and you hear someone's subs booming. You can usually tell where it's coming from by what the car LOOKS like, but not just from the sound. Is it that 2018 Tesla, the 2019 Cadillac ST5, or is it the 2003 Mazda RX-7? Hmmmm…. Now, think about the sound of a siren. Even with your eyes closed, you can almost point directly at it. That's because human ears can very easily identify (or localize) high frequencies. That's why you can place a (good) sub anywhere in the room, but the bass seems to be coming from your front speakers. Now if you put a speaker on top of the sub, it's possible that, as you listen, it'll sound like your bass is coming from just that speaker. I've never set a system up like that, so I might be wrong. But that's my two cents, and I hope it helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it shouldn't be a problem as I have a floor speaker on it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can, but it's not adviseable since the subwoofer is going to be undergoing low frequency vibrations which would be carried through the other speaker. While it would obviously save space, it's a bad practice. Now, if you could find or build a nice looking end table that would fit over the subwoofer instead - no physical contact, you'd be in business.
