Yes. The str-dn1080 has a total of 7 amplifiers, each rated at 165 Watts, 6 ohms. Those amplifiers are for the primary speakers. The subwoofer connection is separate, not part of the amplified signal and requires a powered subwoofer such as this one. This subwoofer should work well with that receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if your receiver has subwoofer preamp outs. It doesn't have speaker level inputs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IT HAS ITS OWN POWER !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your amplifier will not supply the power to the Klipsch SW because the Klipsch SW has its own 400 Watt built-in amplifier. You will only connect your Sony receiver's "Subwoofer Out" outputs to the Klipsch. These are line level outputs. The Klipsch's own amplifier will pull its own weight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't handle power... it has its own internal amplifier and provides its own power. That will free up your amp to better power your F/R/C speakers.
