I have a Denon receiver so I don't know if the same answer would apply to Onkyo but here goes. Denon customer support told me that my front speakers had to be configured as "small" speakers because if I configured them as "large" the system would assume that they could handle all the heavy lifting in the bass. I reconfigured as "small" and the subwoofer started working. Hope that helps in your situation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you check the audio settings? Mine had the subwoofer option turned off and only until I turned it on did my SW start making the room shake. Hope you can make your SW work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check your connections and make sure your reciever is in some sort of surround mode. Some will not have a sub output unless they are running surround material.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My Onkyo has a setting in Speaker Configuration to say Yes to subwoofer connected. I assume you have the power toggle switch on the back of the sub set to On or Auto and plugged in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to configure it in the onkyo to be detected for example 3.1 and set the sw yes
