I had a similar experience. Talked to both Klipsch and best Buy. Switched from HDMI to Optical cable and that solved the problem. Also, there is a new firmware update that with retain the sound level and the surround sound features.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the HDMI's allow control pass through. I would check any connected devices. If that doesn't work I would see if there is a software update or think it's got some issue. Mine has never done that.
