We lost ours too. We have Cox cable (w/remote) and realized goofing around one night that if you press the music notes on the top of the Cox remote then press ‘volume’ up or down you can get volume whenever you want it. Then it is on whenever the tv is on, and goes off whenever the tv goes off. We have the optical digital connected. (Love it!) We still get up to turn it on- but that’s liveable. At least we didn’t have to buy another remote!
