• Advertisers do that intentionally to draw attention to their advert, there is nothing that can be done other than turning down the volume.

• There is nothing wrong with your equipment. Broadcasters do this intentionally to get your attention. It annoys me so much I record everything on dvr so I can fast forward through commercials. I watch almost nothing in real time.

• it is annoying to have to always have a remote in hand to turn down volume when a commericial comes on.
