    Very Good Sound

    Posted .

I have been waiting on a good deal on this sound bar for a very long time finally got 100$ off and bought it. Best Buy manager in Round Rock store was very pleasant and helpful. This sound bar works with my direct tv remote and my Samsung tv remote, it turns off after some inactive time lapse. The louder it gets the better it sounds. On a regular of tv time, I would have preferred some sound settings to suit my ears like some treble or bass settings but there are none, so I am kinda disappointed. On some reviews HDMI input on this would have been better but for me I could'nt care less about it, does the job for me and sound quality get 8/10. Oh yea woofer is awesome.

Awesome sounds from this found bar

This sound bar has an awesome sound that is felt like a Bose sound system. I love that it responds to my Comcast tv remote and when I turn on the cable box , the sound bar comes on. It's great even on low, sometimes I turn it up too see if it is like the movies in the theater. It's a close replica of it . The sub woofer is fabulous and it makes my television come to life.

Great sound, easy set up, easy to mount.

This is the second sound bar in my house, the other is a Samsung. Comparing the two - the Klipsch has far superior sound. It handles blue tooth music from the iPad wonderfully and when used with the TV, dialog is crisp and understandable. great combination. Set up was very easy, worked right out of the gate with no troubleshooting.

    Best soundbar best buy stocks

    |
    Posted .

This is the best soundbar system that best buy stocks. I had the older model jbl sb300. That in my opinion sounded pretty good, but i had an issue with speakers going out. so after the second time i gave up, its being repaired under warranty. So i went on a mission to find something that would replace this one. I wasn't aware at the time of what a challenge this would be. First i tried the energy cs-30. My opinion is this is a pretty good soundbar, my issue with it was the midrange clarity and the crossover on the sub was preset to high so male voices would come out of it during shows and movies. This made dialogue hard to understand at times. so i returned it and bought the new jbl sb400. the jbl sb400 had impressive bass and an over all good sound quality. Its very good for music, it lacked any high end " treble " clarity. You can't hear the sound water makes when it drips or the sound an arrow makes when its drawn back. I tried to like this one but it was no upgrade to what i had in fact i thought the sb300 sounded better. I was looking for a good compromise of bass and treble clarity, i thought if i could combine the energy and the jbl. Then i heard a klipsch at a friends house he had the sb3 which is discontinued it sounded amazing!! I"m like i want this!! So i take back the jbl and buy the klipsch r10b, i was interested in the r20b but no one stocks this for some reason. I have to say the r10b is amazing, simply amazing. The bass is very clear and often surprises me. during shows its strong and when it needs to it can shake your walls. But the highs!! Oh man the highs are so clear and no distortion. You can hear every detail intended to be heard in a movie or show. And music sounds great as well. The highs and lows are so well balanced i still can't believe it. Voices are clear and crisp but not unnatural sounding. Remember its not a 5.1 system its a very basic and simple speaker combo that will impress the average user. If your a casual user who watches movies and tv shows and occasional music this is what you should buy. Its worth the money in my opinion.

    Great Soundbar

    |

I am completely pleased with my purchase, definitely a good buy for the money. Easy setup. Sound quality from sound bar is great for me, bass, however, is amazing when volume is up. I have my sub turned all the way up and normal tv watching it seems a little lacking, but still great. But when you turn up the volume the bass will definitely rattle the house, no distortion. I like to feel what im watching, so i was going to buy the R-20B (10" sub and 2 more speakers in sound bar) only to find out the power rating is the same, the only benefit to getting the R-20B is you'll hear some deeper tones. To most people, probably couldnt tell the difference, so i decided to keep the R-10B and save a couple hundred. Definitely a good buy for mid-price level.

    Pricey with Quality

    |

It's expensive, no doubt. There are cheaper options both with and without separate subwoofers. When you get into a store with many set up so you can compare bars, you'll find this setup has great quality and options with a price below the top tier bars, yet above the price of most. Only the buyer will know whether it's the right price point, but I think they'll all agree the sound is solid with strong bass. It's easy to set up, though the included instructions are poor. You can leave it on a shelf or wall mount it easily with the hole drill guide that's very user friendly. And you can program most cable provider and TV remotes to control the volume; a great option which not all bars provide.

    Great system!

We were trying to find an alternative to installing an expensive wireless sound system in our new house. Our previous house had one wired in. The saleswoman recommended this system. It sounds great! We put the woofer in the back corner of the room. It does a great job of giving that theater like sound. The only complaint with this system is it is not compatible with the new Directv Genie remotes. My poor husband spent at least 2-3 frustrating hours on the phone with Directv and Best Buy trying to figure out what was wrong. When he tried to program it the whole thing went haywire and he had to reset it. I do not know if this is a Klipsch or Directv problem.

    Klipsch does not disappoint

We bought this for our loft. Having always been a 5.1 surround guy, I was skeptical. This thing is wicked. It does much more the "enhance or replace your TV's speakers." It provides a room filling sound. I read some reviews about people returning this because the sub would not pair. There is a reset button on both the soundbar and subwoofer that takes care of this should yours have this problem. No need to return, trust me. This also eliminates the need for a wireless speaker if you like to stream from your mobile device. Bluetooth pairing is easy and works great. Warning, some iPhone Bluetooth streaming issues with quality will be exposed with this soundbar but iPad and Android devices work fine. Pros: Great sound and power Space saving Klipsch quality Cons: "Plasticky" look Credit card style remote looks cheap and not what I am accustomed to from Klipsch

    Loud and clear!

I bought Klipsch soundbar a month ago from best buy, the salesperson was very knowledgeable and was able to demonstrate the Klipsch quality at the demo set. I was originally going to spent 200 - $300 on soundbar. but decided to buy Klipsch which is $599+ this is made in USA! but believe it or not its worth every $. At first when I turned it on, my kids started crying, because of the loud base, then we adjustedit, kids love it now :) it is very very loud specially the subwoofer gives a lot of base that shakes my whole house. I have a big family room and it is perfect sound system for this size. I will recommend Klipsch to people have bigger tv rooms and enjoy watching movies with sound effect, you will hear every bit and very clearly. This is an incredible sound system with only soundbar and a subwoofer system, not many wires running around your room. Klipsch: you have nailed it !!

I've been using this for the past 3 years now and it really sounds great. The Sub-woofer really hits hard if you crank it up and the system is a breeze to use. *the only down side is, I purchased the top of the line LG TV at the time, which has a Bluetooth remote. The TV doesn't have any speakers so it all goes through this. This system is infra-red so there's no way to add it to the LG TV remote. I had to get a Harmony Universal remote, which after three years is now toast. so i'm forced to look for another universal that will work with both. That's a tall order because the Harmony I had doesn't control the apps in the LG Smart TV so I'm using a $5000 system with two different remotes, any way I go... Either way, it still sounds good!

    Best sound ever!

    |
    Posted .

This sound bar is by far the best sounding of all that I've listened to. The sub-woofer offers clean booming bass, and has its own volume control for just the right setting. The bar itself offers much better mid-range and very clear, non-tinny upper range. Installation was very easy, especially with the wireless sub-woofer. I use it with the provided optical cable and have it connected to a new Visio 55" Smart TV. While an HDMI cable would be preferred, there is no HDMI offering. My only negative would be the lack of compatibility to existing remote controls. According to Klipsch tech support, programming the volume and channel buttons on any Smart TV's remote will not work due to "different technology". Although programming codes are provided by Klipsch for integration with DirecTV remotes, they do not work. Neither Klipsch nor DirecTV have a solution. Perhaps a good universal remote might work, but I'm not sure. Other than having to use the Klipsch remote for adjusting the volume, this sound bar is awesome. I would recommend it any day for someone who values quality sound.

    Love at first sound

    Posted .

I had a Panasonic DVD/Home theatre all in one system that I loved. It was 5.1 with a powered subwoofer and it sounded great even after 6 years. It sounded great. But now my wife is one that hates the look of the speakers and stands everywhere. It didn't bother me but it did her. Plus with a 13 month old running around, the speakers became something to play with. I started to get tired of picking them up all the time. So I started to look around at different options. I never heard great things about sound bars compared to the original, tried and true method of a receiver, 5 speakers and a sub. Well when I was in the Grand Forks, ND store, I was approached and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I was already sold on a Yamaha because of the name and price. I was prepared to spend only $300. When I was shown the different sound bars I didn't mind what I was hearing, but I wasn't excited to buy and go home right away to set it up. I then heard the Klipsch R-10B sound bar and sub. I was blown away! The little hairs on the back of neck tingled as did the rest of me as I listened. I asked how much? It was on sale for $499.99. I was like no way can I spend that much. I thought about it and I left to look at a few other options first. I even looked online everywhere too to compare pricing and reviews. I then just made the decision to say heck with it, i'm buying it. The other one were fine too, but I have a ear for sound. I did not want to buy something for $300 or $350 and have buyers remorse and not be happy. So, I bought this system. As soon as I got home, I set it up. I had bought Pacific Rim on Blu Ray to test it out as well. I was in love. It was the best thing that I had purchased. The sound is awesome. Set up is easy. DO NOT LET THE 1 OPTICAL INPUT AND 1 STEREO OUTPUT SCARE YOU! Most all newer tv's have the digital output. So, in old school methods, turn your tv into the receiver for your home theatre system. Connect your directv, blu ray player, PS3 and Xbox to your tv via the HDMI cable. Then just use the digital out from the tv to the sound bar. It is the best way. I then connected my 300 disc changer via the stereo inputs. Programming the sound bar to my Directv remote was easy as I use the sound bar for all of my sound and the I do the over ride to allow AV1 to be my sound source. It is easy instructions. I recommend this sound bar to everyone. If you have a budget of $200 or less, that is fine. But, if you can swing it, save up a few more dollars for this. No questions asked, just buy this sound bar. Glad it was on sale when I bought it.

    Great soundbar for the price

I bought this sound bar to replace my Bose 2.1 system that I've had for over 20 years. First off, kudos to Bose for making incredible speakers and subs. I have owned nothing but Bose so to find a sound bar that competed with a top tier company was shocking enough. The Klipsch R-10B has amazing sound. The highs are crystal clear, the mids are perfectly in place. The included subwoofer puts outstanding bass perfectly into the mix. The system, when played side by side, is actually better than the Bose unit. The Klipsch is louder and more enriched sound. I love my Bose and will not be getting rid of it by any means, but for a Black Friday deal of $349.00 I feel like I found a soundbar that easily competes with a $1400 Bose unit. I conducted extensive research on product reviews of this Klipsch unit and that is what ultimately drove me to this soundbar. My only negative is that the plastic soundbar feels a little cheap but overall, I'm still very happy with the unit. If you have the $1500 to purchase a Sonos soundbar and Subwoofer, that is the only soundbar that is above this Klipsch unit in my opinion.

    Sweet!

Wow. If you sat down in a room with your eyes closed and listened to the Klipsch R-10B you would never know it was a soundbar. This system sounds phenomenal. Crisp high & clean mid range. And holy subwoofer! The sub on this is a beast. Awesome and aggressive bass that remains clean with punch- not distorted & grumbly when you crank it up. Movies & tv shows sound like they're supposed to. And music sounds awesome as well, which has been my big gripe for a while with most soundbars. When I went to buy a new soundbar I was looking at Sony, JBL & Samsung models in the $300- $450 range. They all sounded decent enough. And then I saw this Klipsch model on display and gave it a listen. There was no comparison. The Klipsch blew the others out of the water. Quality buy.

I like this sound bar a lot. I have only two issues with it, albeit minor issues. First, using the remote to adjust the volume is rather annoying. You have to be pretty much straight in line with it for it to work. If you're like me and have a sectional or seating off to the side, using the remote is quite annoying at times. Second, I didnt think it would be an issue when I bought the sound bar but not having a display on it kinda sucks too. You cant set the volume to a specific number that you know is either loud enough or quiet enough for what you need. All in all, the sound is fantastic. By far the best sound bar I found for the money. I have it sitting on a glass shelf that my wife was worried about the vibration breaking and so far, 3 months in and countless hours of gaming and action movies, and it hasnt even budged. I like the fact that when I turn on my tv the sound bar also turns on so I dont have to grab the remote, that sucks, and try and turn it on. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

You'll be happy - If you can get over the size

    |
    Posted .

PROS Excellent sound quality - very balanced. I can hear all of the whispers in movies and TV shows, and still not have to turn it down with the loud scenes come. CONS It is quite a bit larger than other sound bars on the market. I ended up having to build a small stand for my TV to sit on so the sound bar would not block the TV for our remote. The remote is very small and easily misplaced. I've also found I need to be pointing the remote a certain way to get it to work. Could be better. The sound quality was ultimately what I was looking for, and since I found this on sale, there was no better deal out there. I listened to several other sound bars while comparing in Best Buy, included in a Sony 2.1, Samsung 4.1 and Bose Cinemate and Solo 15. The Klipsch blew the Sony and Samsung away in sound quality. It was a close comparison to the Bose system. I decided on the Klipsch because Bose does not offer Bluetooth connectivity in their systems. I would have had to purchase another box to connect for this feature.

    Hmmm...

I like the build quality of Klipsch products, the subwoofer is that good, sturdy kind of heavy. Looks like the kit will last years. Had trouble pairing it with my TV remote, some commands work other don't (will try again and update it there is any change). The sound is fantastic for gaming (Fifa with 3D on is an experience) and movies (beautiful individual rendering of individual sounds) out of the box. Music is a different story...I was a little disappointed at first (because my H/K Onyx bedroom speaker is insanely good!!!) but after breaking them in the Klipsch is fantastic and only seems to be getting better every time, I turn it on. Quite frankly a wonderful sonic experience and the fact that the sub is wireless just adds to the excellence.

Great sound but some connection limitations.

    |
    Posted .

This unit sounds fantastic. The only problem is that the connections are a bit limited in that the digital decoder for the digital audio input only accepts PCM or Stereo only. I have a Sony TV and don't have an option to set the digital audio out on the TV to either of those protocols. It's hard coded to 5.1 only. Because of that, there is a large popping sound when I switch TV inputs or turn the TV off and a ticking sound at times. I had to switch to analog inputs, which work, but the sound is not as rich as it was on the digital audio. There is no HDMI input, so the only choice is either analog or optical digital.
