Clean up any liquid on the floor before running over it with the unit. It isn't for cleaning up wet messes, sucking up liquid would short it out; it's a vacuum cleaner/floor sweeper. The little pad attaches and you can add enough water to dampen it, Then it will damp-mop far a couple dozen square feet until the water dries up.

It has one mop pad but have not tried it yet. I am not sure were you would get more. Only had a week
