“How does it clean up wet messes? Where does the dirty liquid go? Is there a mop pad on the bottom or does the vacuum just suck up the dirty liquid? I have pets.”

Clean up any liquid on the floor before running over it with the unit. It isn't for cleaning up wet messes, sucking up liquid would short it out; it's a vacuum cleaner/floor sweeper. The little pad attaches and you can add enough water to dampen it, Then it will damp-mop far a couple dozen square feet until the water dries up.
