The 12v coolers such as the P27 voyager either run off 12 volts in a vehicle or may be powered by the optional AC power adapter to plug the cooler into 110/120 volts in your home. If the cooler is left plugged into a vehicle and the vehicle if off then the cooler will drain the battery completely in approximately 4 hours. The 12 volt coolers are not rechargeable and they do not have a battery pack. You would have to run the cooler with an ac power adapter.
