“I’m having a 65 inch TV flat mounted to the wall, and the sound bar mounted n to the bottom of TV, with no gap by geek squad. THe cable TV and electric outlet are directly behind the Tv, so there will be NO cords showing. Why do I need this contraption?”

It doesn't sound like you need this. This product is designed for areas where the power and cable are not located directly behind the TV.
