• There IS a DVD player/writer on this model. Watched movie last night on mine.

• There is a built in CD/DVD reader-writer on this device. You can stream Netflix with this device. In order to play a commercial DVD movie, you will need to purchase Media Player software, as it does not come with Windows 10 Home.

• The description says that it has an optical drive. The photos show one. But best to check it out in a store.
