Yes, they absolutely can. That's what I had done with mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've done it, although not on this Lenovo. It's time consuming, but one can do it themselves. Just make sure you have a separate removable hard drive (cheap enough, like Seagate) to accept what you want to back up. Allow a few hours of transfer time which you don't have to baby-sit AT the computer, but need to be "around" to make sure it's going smoothly. If you're a little tech savvy, go for it, if not, or if you don't want to baby-sit it, pay extra.
