Please try again later.The Lenovo IdeaCentre 5i Desktop does have a mechanical 1TB hard drive which will produce a sound that will be audible by the user, as the optical discs within the drive spin. We recommend you make an appointment with your local Best Buy store to have the Geek Squad examine your computer to diagnose the sound you describe.
