There only seems to be one button on the side for the screen, is there a screen shut off not a computer shut off button or are they one in the same. There were no instructions at all , is there a link to instructions, ie I may want more usb ports null

If you want to turn the screen off but not the computer put it in sleep mode

There is one power off/on button that controls both the system and the screen for this All-In-One system. All documentation for the IdeaCentre A340-22 AIO is available online. If you need more USB ports, you may want to consider using a portable USB Hub with this system.
