The reply about the M.2 slot is correct. However, one of the replies (which has, apparently, been corrected by its deletion) said that this is not like a "normal" motherboard. Since laptops outsell desktops by a wide margin (62% vs.36%), which is the "normal" motherboard? The point is that laptop CPUs, by and large, cannot be simply switched. The sole exception I know of is the Framework brand (which is a whole other animal) of laptop. If upgradability is the governing feature for you, DO NOT BUY A LAPTOP. If portability, convenience, and flexibility is (and you don't mind paying a bit extra), then go with a laptop.

No, the processor cannot be upgraded as it is integrated into the systemboard, and no, there is only one storage slot in this IdeaPad. It is used by the 256GB M.2 2242 SSD that is included with the system, but it can be upgraded to fit either the 2242 or 2280 M.2, tested using up to 1TB.
