• Is it 2.0? Or is it a mini USB. Also like at the connection ports on the wire and laptop might be damaged

• This model number 81A40025US, has two standard USB 3.0 ports, but it also has one USB-c port. Be sure you are not trying to use your USB device with the USB-c port. If you are using the standard USB 3.0 port, we recommend you stop by your local Best Buy store and have the Geek Squad take a look at the USB ports on the device.
