Most definitely my 10 year old uses this daily and you can hook up an xbox controller to make gaming easier

I wouldnt.... an 86 year old friend has one and after 14 months? It won't even turn on. He hardly used it and warranty was out in July. He and I paid 550. Get your son a $159 computer.... it will last as long and you will save $400!

NO. I had this laptop for a year and it starts freezing! And over heating do not waste your money on this expensive device.

Thant really will depend on the requirements and compatibility of the software APPs your son will be using on this Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 laptop. This model ships with Windows 11 S-0Mode, 64-bit Operating System installed. Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. We recommend you check with the specific APPs software publisher's web sites, of the APPs/games your son will want to use, for their compatibility with Windows 11 S-Mode 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
