“Does the touchscreen work with USI 1 pens or only USI 2?”

• I am using the Lenovo usi pen model GX81B10212 which I believe is usi 1 and it works great.

• It definitely works with USI 1 pens. I have not tried it with USI 2, but my understanding is the pens are backwards compatible with older displays, so it should.
