Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can set it to understand and respond in many languages and even different dialects in some cases (Spanish included) -- even more than one language for a bilingual household or if you just want to practice a different language sometimes. It automatically recognizes which language you used to speak to it and will respond in that language. It even will run your set Routines in the language you use to start them. For example, I set up a routine where when I say "good morning" it automatically responds as if I asked it what the date is, what the weather will be like today, and how much rain there might be. I had the speaker set up to English and Japanese. When I greeted it with "ohayou gozaimasu" it ran the entire Routine in Japanese even though I only had set it up in English. You also can set it to display temperature in Celsius. It learns your location based on the device with which you set it up and/or the location you tell it in the setup, so as long as Google has information about your area, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
