How many years should this laptop last? null

I can tell you my last one is going on 12 years old and runs like a top. I don't see why this one won't do the same I really mean that. It's the main reason I bought this new one.

I had one that lasted about 4 years. Was very disappointed it didn't last longer. It was a hardware issue. Screen flickered, then went black. Geeksquad said very costly to repair.
