  • Questionis this computer loud and if so, is it possible to mute the fan?

    • Answer Hey mick, Based on user reviews, fan noise is not a common complaint with this Yoga 7i. Should you be putting the system under an intensive workload, it's likely that the fan noise will become more audible as the cooling system works to keep the device cool. Should you wish to prevent this in times of a quiet environment like a meeting or in a library, press the Fn + Q key shortcut to toggle system thermal profiles, including max performance and battery saving (quiet) mode. When you to switch to battery saving mode, it throttles performance, which will prevent the fans from ramping up in speed, thus reducing fan noise.     • Answer Yes this is a common feature since like 2014 on windows. On the laptop you hold down FN (function key) key and then one of the F1-12 keys one of the raises brightness and one of them lowers it. You can also do this through settings Display and then brightness.
