Although the LG - 0.7 Cu. Ft. Compact Microwave - Stainless-Steel, Model # LCS0712ST can be placed easily in your kitchen, family room, or anywhere else in your home, the installation instructions are very specific as to how it should be installed which would mean that mounting this unit under a kitchen cabinet is not an ideal place nor one that can be recommended. The instructions recommend to place the oven on a flat surface such as a kitchen countertop or a specially designed microwave oven cart at least 100cm (39.4 inches) from floor.
Free air flow around the unit is of utmost importance and you should allow at least 4 inches
of space at the top, sides, and back of the oven for proper ventilation....IFV

It can if done correctly. You need to leave head space. But this unit is not designed for such applications. They make units for under the cabinet.

The LG 0.7 cu/ft. Compact Microwave is a counter top unit. It is not drilled or tapped for under cabinet mounting.
