- Answer Hi Nerves. Thank you for your inquiry. The External Dimensions for the LG - 0.7 cubic foot Compact Microwave, Model # LCS0712ST are 17 9/10" x 10 1/6" x 12 1/5" (W x H x D) and you can pretty much use those as the footprint because underneath the unit, you would place rubber pads to prevent the unit from sliding around but there is hardly any clearance between that and the chassis. It is pretty flush to whatever platform it would sit on...IFV

- Answer Yes there was a plastic film on the outside of the window. Once it is removed and the microwave is in use the interior light comes on and you can see into the appliance .

- Answer It is recommended that you have allow for at least 4 inches of space at the top, sides and back of the LG - 0.7 Cu. Ft. Compact Microwave - Stainless-Steel, Model # LCS0712ST for free air flow around the microwave for proper ventilation and the air vents have to be kept clear during cooking to prevent the unit from overheating. If the unit overheats, a sensitive thermal safety devise automatically turns the unit off and the microwave will remain inoperable until the unit has cooled off sufficiently...^IFV

QuestionIf you put this microwave in a box, what would be the depth you'd need for it to fit, including all protrusions on the front and back of the oven?I bought a freestanding shelf with no back and 2 front glass doors. I want to store this microwave there when not in use and would like to know the exact depth of it, including any protrusions on the back or front. I will need to close it behind the shelf doors when not in use.

Since the LG - 0.7 cubic foot Compact Microwave, Model # LCS0712ST is a counter-top unit and is not designed to be installed in a box, we would not have any dimensions to give in that regard. However, we can provide you with it's exterior measurements which are given as: Exterior (WxHxD) 17 9/10" x 10 1/6" x 12 1/5". If it helps, the carton that the unit came in had the following dimensions even though those would include the protective styrofoam padding: 21 1/4" x 11 1/2" x 15 1/2"...^IFV

QuestionInterior - Black or stainless? I am confused. A customers photo of interior (see below) looks to be stainless inside, but another review mentions the interior being black. I am looking for a microwave that has stainless inside. Please help clarify?

- Answer It's actually more of a dark steel grey. Take another look at the image. It's not stainless but takes on the appearance somewhat.

- Answer Absolutely! I cook many things and use directions for 1000 watt or 1100 watt. It is a powerful microwave. It cooks even faster than our old 1100 watt. You can cook a baked potato.

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry. Although the LG - 0.7 Cu. Ft. Compact Microwave - Stainless-Steel, Model # LCS0712ST can be placed easily in your kitchen, family room, or anywhere else in your home, the installation instructions are very specific as to how it should be installed which would mean that mounting this unit under a kitchen cabinet is not an ideal place nor one that can be recommended. The instructions recommend to place the oven on a flat surface such as a kitchen countertop or a specially designed microwave oven cart at least 100cm (39.4 inches) from floor. Free air flow around the unit is of utmost importance and you should allow at least 4 inches of space at the top, sides, and back of the oven for proper ventilation....IFV
