“I have plenty of room above the microwave and on the left side of the microwave, but the right side of the microwave will butt up next to a wall. Is this a problem?”

It is recommended that you have allow for at least 4 inches of space at the top, sides and back of the LG - 0.7 Cu. Ft. Compact Microwave - Stainless-Steel, Model # LCS0712ST for free air flow around the microwave for proper ventilation and the air vents have to be kept clear during cooking to prevent the unit from overheating. If the unit overheats, a sensitive thermal safety devise automatically turns the unit off and the microwave will remain inoperable until the unit has cooled off sufficiently...^IFV
