No, this microwave does not have a timer. I also could not believe it does not and I believe we are going to return it just for that reason. Yes, it has a cook timer of course, but it does not have a kitchen timer which we used all of the time on our other microwave.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The manual states in a Note below the Power Level table that a timer function can be used by entering a cook time then setting the power level to "0." I tested this by placing a cup of water in the microwave, setting the timer to 55 seconds (strictly arbitrary setting) then setting the Power Level to "0". It still warmed the cup of water. Not sure what to think about the Note in the manual now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think there is a timer. At first I couldn't believe it, but, pretty sure there is none.

This was a great feature on old microwaves now it's difficult to use and it uses unnecessary power since it also lights up and spins like it's cooking. Maybe this would be necessary in some situations but to not have a regular timer that only counts down and doesn't use unnecessary power for people makes no sense. Is this some trick so people will use more power than necessary? Seems fishy, like a company that has ties to power companies or they are the power company. Company needs to be broken up if this type of behavior is common.
