QuestionIs there a timer on LG microwave LMV1683ST?

- Answer No, this microwave does not have a timer. I also could not believe it does not and I believe we are going to return it just for that reason. Yes, it has a cook timer of course, but it does not have a kitchen timer which we used all of the time on our other microwave.

- Answer Yes :) It has a Convertible Vent Type that allows to vent inside or outside.

- Answer Hello Anna, yes, this model is meant to be mounted underneath a cabinet. If you have a cooktop/range underneath please make sure that there are at least 30" between cooktop and cabinet. 30" min. cabinet opening width & 30" min. clearance from bottom of cabinet to cooking surface or countertop before installation. ...and in case you are wondering, it does come with its own wall mounting kit. QuestionDoes Best Buy installI currently have a under cabinet microwave. will Best Buy remove the old one and install a new one and if so what is the cost?

- Answer The install cost for a standard install is $150.00, more if they run into stuff. I am not sure if that includes removing the old one. I removed mine and installed the new one. It takes two people who are of normal strength.

- Answer Yes, it will fit in a regular sized opening. I replaced an old "wpool" model in my under cabinet mount space. Take your time, and follow directions. It will work perfectly...

- Answer The required minimum installation spacing between the bottom of the LG LG - 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless Steel, Model # LMV1683ST and the Counter top or Cooktop surface is actually given as the minimum spacing between the Cooktop or Counter top surface and the bottom of the upper cabinet that the microwave is to be installed under before installation and that is a minimum of 30". The microwave has a height of 16 7/16" so the minimum distance between the bottom of the microwave and the Cooktop surface after installation should be 13 9/16"...^IFV

- Answer Ductwork is not included with the LG 1.6 cu. ft. Non-Sensor Over the Range Microwave Oven, Model # LMV1683. If you need to vent it outside, you will need to purchase the ductwork if you do not have it. The microwave can be vented in one of three ways, Roof-Venting, Wall-Venting or Room-Venting. The microwave is shipped with its blower assembled for room-venting. If you want to wall-vent or roof-vent, you will need to adjust the blower. The instruction manual for the different types of installation is included with the unit...^IFV

QuestionI am replacing a Maytag over range Microwave that is between 8-10 yrs old but the only fault I ever found with this was noisy fan. My heating unit is gone so I want to replace with this LG but how is the fan noise suitation ?????

- Answer THIS MICROWAVE IS ***E X T R E M E L Y*** LOUD IF VENTED INSIDE. THAT IS WHY I AM LOOKING TO REPLACE MINE EVEN THOUGH IT IS BRAND NEW. WE HAVE TO TURN TV VOLUME UP IN NEXT ROOM WHEN MICROWAVE IS IN USE.
