A: Yes, but it is very easy and the instructions are well done, I only needed one Philips head screwdriver and it took all of 10 minutes to assemble. One note: when putting a filter over the intake, you will need to apply a decent amount of twisting and force to properly seat the retention ring. It fits, but it takes a little more force than you would think.
