“What kind of cooktop lighting is available? Is it LED, or expensive Halogen bulbs? Does it have night light mode? Does the vent function turn on manual or automatic. I was reading a Whirlpool model I was interested in turns on by itself.”

• It is the small halogen bulb and there is NO nightlight.

• According to page 41 of your owner’s manual, replace the cooktop/countertop light with a candelabra-base 20 watt bulb. The bottom of the control panel controls the 5-speed vent fan. The vent can also be set to turn off automatically. ^CP
