QuestionI just bought and have not installed it yet we had a over the stove microwave before but there was no vent in the wall or through the top of the cabinet. Do you have to have one of those to use this microwave?

QuestionMounting just to a cabinet? not over cooktop.Can this be mounted to my cabinet, but not above the cooktop?? Just to free up counter space??

- Answer Yes, it can be mounted to a cabinet that is not over a cooktop. However, it is 15 5/8" tall so measure your space between your counter and cabinet bottom. The typical cabinet/counter spacing would not leave you any usable counter space unless the cabinet is high like the ones over a range.

QuestionDo not have a rear vent and need the unit to be front or bottom vented. If it can be converted, is that right out of the box or do you need to buy a converter kit and if so, where do I find that info to purchase and look into that process?

- Answer By default, it comes enabled for top vent to room. If you want to convert to exterior vent, I'm not sure where that is (top I think?) but it comes with all parts needed.

- Answer I had issues with my door that fell under the manufacturer's warranty. They sent a technician to my home and replaced the door for free. If your model is new enough, you can probably do the same.

QuestionCan I put a brighter bulb or higher wattage bulb for the lighting over the stove? The option is either off or on and the "on" is not adequate lighting (it is just a night light).

- Answer Most appliances with lighting have a specific wattage allowances and/or recommendations for their specific product(s) however, brighter light bulbs types are available which may be of a more efficient design such as LED, Fluorescent, halogen etc. each with different "Lumens" or brightness if you prefer. Keep in mind that different light bulb designs may also have different/various plug connection designs also. Do stay within the wattage recommendations by the manufacturer along with the correct bulb plug-in design. If in doubt, take the original bulb with you for comparison and ask a store associate for assistance.
