No light in control panel. I've had the same problem with other microwave ovens over the years. I've installed an additional kitchen light. Good luck.

No, the panel is not back lit, nor is there a light for the panel. Having a menu panel that is not lit makes this microwave extremely difficult to use. Even when my overhead kitchen light is on, I can't see the menu panel! I literally have to put my face a few inches from the menu panel to read it. I wonder how this microwave ever passed its product review.
