A:AnswerIt is setup to vent in the room. But you can change it if you flip the blower around if you have a vent leading outside behind it. The directions come with the microwave to do this.
A:AnswerI am responding to "LG Answers" to my question. So the model is advertised as having a grill element & it does not, in fact have one. that is one of the reasons I chose this model. now what? uninstall it, return it, buy another, install the new one? Frustrating. w/s should be updated.

A:AnswerNot that I can see. It says however that if the unit is venting inside the charcoal filter needs to be changed every 6 - 12 month or more often depending on how much the vent is being used.
