“LMVM2033SS LG's web site lists the control type as "membrane." What does this mean? LMVM2033ST and other finishes have glass as the control type. Does the print proof stainless have a glass control or a "membrane" control?”

"Membrane" is exactly as the name implies. The Control panel for the LG 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LMV2031SS is not glass. Membrane touch switches are sometimes referred to as membrane switches or touch switches. Generally, a membrane touch switch is a momentary electrical on/off switch for activating and de-activating a circuit.
