Hello, Use AA 1.5V batteries.but if you have LG magic remote from TV then you can paired it with your soundbar. You can control soundbar using your LG TV magic remote.^Vanessa

Batteries for the remote are included; they're either double-A's or triple-A's ...can't remember. The soundbar itself runs off 110v AC mains. The sub is plugged in directly and the bar has a wall wart transformer.

No batteries. Both the bar and subwoofer plug into the wall.
