Don’t know if it is adjustable but it has a low pitch musical chime which is not obtrusive to us. Our last one had a loud beeping chime that could wake you out of a sound sleep! This one has been a very welcome change.

I didn't find a volume setting, but there you can shut the tones off completely.

It’s not a beep. It’s actually more of a musical jingle. Pleasantly surprised me when I first used ours
