“If this MW is installed using recirculated air (NOT vented to the outdoors), where does the air come out? My current (9 yr old Whirlpool) shoots the air out the top/front of the MW. The air flows across the upper cabinet & has damaged it.”

Mine vents to the outside but looking at the MW it only has vents upper front like your unit so it must vent the same, out the upper front.
