Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.By placing a magnet on the rectangle on the inside right of the fridge, all the internal lights will be disabled. I used a chrome magnet with 3G adhesive. See photos. Note that you can’t adjust the temperature with the magnet on as the controls are disabled. So if you want to leave the magnet on permanently, first make sure it’s on the desired temperature setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We had a problem with our freezer staying cold but the refrigerator part would stay above 45 degrees up to 72 degrees. Noticed that the light would never go out. Taped a thin magnet to the door, see picture 2, to line up with the flush door switch, picture 1. Now, when the door shuts, the light goes out and the condenser fans comes on and now it maintains a 35 degree temp. I guess it was always thinking the door was open and so the condenser fan would only come on in little spurts to keep the freezer cold.
