How do the light stay on to see null

The light does not stay on very long, just long enough to see what's in the door storage area (and whatever you can see behind what you have in the door).

Knock twice on the glass to turn the LED light inside the Door-in-Door on or off. The LED light turns off automatically after 10 seconds. ^Daphane
