The Best Buy instructional video about how to measure in preparation for the delivery said that 3.75 inches is required on the side if the fridge is along a wall. One side will be along a wall. The width of my opening is 35 inches. This would allow the necessary 3.75 inches on the side of the fridge that’s along the wall. The other side is along a counter cabinet and the door is well past the depth of the fridge and can open as far as it needs to. Will this not work?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Energy Star® Qualified LG 21.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFDS22520S actually needs 4.25 inches on either side in order to open the doors 90˚. The refrigerator has a width of 29 3/4" (i.e 29.75" if your prefer decimals) with the doors closed and a width of 38 1/4 (38.25") with the doors open 90˚ (includes handles). That's an overall difference of 8 1/2" (8.5") so that means 4.25" on either side...^IFV
