“I've never had a dishwasher that uses condensation drying, and I'm concerned that it means the walls of the inside tub will be left with water inside all the time, leading to mold, mildew or at the very least a musty smell. Has anyone experienced this?”

I have this exact problem!! The walls of this dishwasher and the entire tub and door are ALWAYS dripping wet with condensation. So frustrating because it makes it smell. In addition, dishes do NOT completely dry, so if you don't removed promptly, they begin to sweat and fog up from the condensation inside. So disappointed. I am considering returning it.

Use the extended night dry feature every time and no condensation issue. Love this dishwasher

Yes, it does stay wet. I can't believe I have to take a towel and dry my dishwasher after a load.

YES IT SUCKS. And I'm extremely disappointed that sales agent did not mention this. I've now LOST FAITH IN LG APPLIANCES. Thanks for screwing us. Bye Bye LG

That smell could be mold and mildew. Bacteria begins growing in a wamr, wet climate after a short time.
