A:AnswerIt must have installed incorrectly. We had our plumber install ours to avoid any such issues, and our LDPH7972S ran perfectly after it was installed.
A:AnswerThere is no "average" - the cycles run for as long as they are programmed to run. For example, the one-hour cycle really runs for one hour, but it will be longer if you add extra drying time ("Dry Boost").
A:AnswerHi there. Thanks for reaching out. For the LG - 24" Top Control Smart Built-In Stainless Steel Tub Dishwasher w/3rd Rack, QuadWash Pro and 42dba Power cord in not included at the time of purchase. `Jai.
A:AnswerYes, there is a significant amount of insulation behind the kick plate (black metal bar on the bottom).
Our unit is very quiet (excluding the drain sounds from the air gap in our sink).
A:AnswerYes, though some of the cycles and controls are more difficult to access.
However, we rarely use the app for normal cleaning. We found the app easier for a "Rinse Only" or "Clean Tub" cycle.
A:AnswerHi there. Thank you for reaching out with your questions about the LG LDPH7972S Dishwasher. We understand the importance of keeping things simple and effective.
Yes, the filter at the bottom of your dishwasher is removable and can be cleaned. Regular cleaning helps maintain peak performance and prevents odors or drainage issues. Here’s a quick guide:
Remove the lower rack to access the filter.
Turn the inner filter counter-clockwise to remove it along with the stainless steel mesh.
Separate and clean the inner filter under running water using a soft brush or sponge.
Reassemble and reinstall the filter, ensuring it’s properly secured.

Regarding app functionality, rest assured, the dishwasher is fully operational without the need for a "smart" connection. The app is an optional feature that provides additional convenience, but the core functions can be managed directly from the dishwasher.

A:AnswerZero - our top rack broke after two days of use. Bearings on the top shelf fell out and now the drawer is very difficult to slide back in. We have also had some cleaning issues with items on the top shelf. Buyer beware,
A:AnswerThanks for your post. I thought I had become a simpleton. I, too, rinse and often wash certain items b4 loading them. Consumed dairy products from glass mugs, glass bowls, spoons, forks and knives must be hand washed first, or they won't come clean. I actually dread loading the dishwasher now, a brand-new Quad Wash. The middle rack is particularly aggravating. I spend a lot of time tweaking that middle rack. The bottom part isn't much better, esp. when the silver wear basket is in use. Yes I know that it's removable, but the size of it prevents loading more than a couple of large items on the bottom *if* I chose not to hand wash a bunch of cutlery.
A:AnswerThank you for reaching us regarding LG Dishwasher. No, the LG LDPH7972S dishwasher does not have a built-in food disposer. Instead, it features a filter system that traps food particles during the wash cycle. You can download its owner's manual through this link for more information: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-LDPH7972S.ASSESNA. A:AnswerThis model has a handle on the front facing out. So if you were to panel cover it, you would have to account for that. You may want to look at the models without the front facing handle.
A:AnswerHey Andy! No, this dishwasher model (LDPH7972S) does not have an always on display feature. The hidden LED display counts down the remaining cycle time. When the dishwasher is not in use, the display disappears for a sleek look. ^Chris
