When we received our dishwasher we qualified for free installation, which I observed. Our previous model was direct wired which means it did not have a plug-in and the model we received didn’t have a plug-in either, but the technician easily connected the three wires to existing wires and install installation went very well.

You will need a wall socket, the dishwasher has a plug. I believe many states now do not allow appliances to be hard wired.
