  • QuestionWhen inputting cycle does the door have to be closed? I'm concerned about reading gray lettering on a gray door, especially since the buttons are on top of the door. This is not friendly for old people.

    • Answer Cycles are selected with the door open. You push start and it counts down 5 seconds for you to close the door and start the cycle. It is easy to read.

  • QuestionDoes this come with the power cord connected or do I need to buy one? I thought I initially read that it comes with the power cord.

    • Answer Unfortunately, not. Although it states it does, there is no power cord included. You will have to purchase separately. I went back to my local store and brought this to their attention as we were in the middle of the install, when this was inconveniently discovered. The store manager made it right and provided a credit to purchase one of their kits which includes the steel braided hose you will also need. Otherwise, it is a great dishwasher. Cleans very well, and as described. I would highly recommend!

The lower rack on the LDPH5554S features a removable silverware basket that isn’t fixed to one side. To relocate it: Slide Out the Lower Rack Fully Pull the rack straight out until it stops. Lift the Basket Out Grasp the basket handle, lift up slightly to clear the rack rails, and pull it toward you. Reposition on the Opposite Side Align the basket’s bottom runners with the rack’s side channels on your desired side. Lower the basket so it sits securely in those channels. Test for Stability Before loading utensils, push the rack back in and give the basket a gentle tug to make sure it’s seated correctly.
