You'll need a kit if it's new. If it's replacing an old dishwasher, you may be able to use the old one.

Honestly, the answer is irrelevant. Avril already answered this question thoroughly. I only wanted to offer my opinion to the person above the professional comment who stated they did not know the answer to the question. I don't understand why anyone would bother posting a. No you do not need a power cord, this one came with one , which is a bonus!

I bought the kit but didn't need it as we were able to reuse the existing connectors.

I haven't had mine installed yet sms not sure where my paperwork is in order to answer that question.  I'd ask the appliance sales rep that question.
