Thank you for your interest in the LG 26 cu. ft. Smart Counter-Depth MAX™ Refrigerator with Dual Ice Makers (LRFXC2606S) model. To turn off the ice maker in the LG LRFXC2606S refrigerator compartment and still use the door ice maker, follow these simple steps:

1. Open the freezer and the ice maker compartment. Look for a power switch marked "ON" and "OFF" on the ice maker. Set it to "OFF" and close the compartment tightly to maintain the freezer temperature.
2. The ice maker on the door is separate and should still work. Open it and use it as needed.
3. Alternatively, you can also turn off the compartment ice maker by looking for a separate switch above the plastic ice container in the freezer.
